IPMAT

Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPM Aptitude Test or IPMAT) is for students after class XII who aim to pursue their career in Business Management. It is a comprehensive management program that has a combined course of management studies from under-graduate (UG) to postgraduate (PG). Programme aims at molding outstanding young students into managers and leaders. Upon successfully completing academic rigor of 5 years, the participant will be awarded Master of Business Administration (MBA) by IIM Rohtak.  There is no automatic entry into the fourth and fifth year. The students will have to maintain a minimum CGPA of 5 to be eligible for the last two years of the program to earn a master’s degree. Students below that CGPA will be awarded a BBA degree and will exit the program. Also, if any student voluntarily intends to exit the program after successfully completing the programme requirement at the end of 3 years, he/she will be awarded a degree of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). Overall, the programme consists of 15 terms spread over a period of 5 years. A year has three terms, each of 3 months duration. The entire programme is divided into two parts; the first part focuses on the foundation courses, whereas the second part focuses on management. Students will be undergoing internships at the end of every academic year.

Who can apply for IPMAT?

  1. Students must have obtained a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 10 or SSC and in Class 12 or HSC or equivalent exams

  2. Students must have obtained a minimum of 55% aggregate in Class 10 or SSC and in Class 12 or HSC or equivalent exams for SC, ST and PWD categories.

  3. Students in the final year of the Class 12 standard are also eligible to apply. Such candidates will be provided admissions provisionally.

  4. Students must be a maximum of 20 years of age

What are the steps for application?

Step 1: Register for IPM Aptitude Test through application form

Students who wish to appear for IPM Aptitude Test need to register on the official website of IIM Rohtak for the exam. The application form can be filled out online only and must be submitted before the last date of registration. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before appearing for the exam.

Step 2: Download IPM Aptitude Test admit card

Students who successfully register for IPM Aptitude Test must download their admit cards from the official website of IIM Rohtak. Admit cards will be available a week before the exam. Candidates can download their admit cards by entering their login credentials.

Step 3: Appear for IPM Aptitude Test

IPM Aptitude Test 2022 was conducted in online mode. Registered candidates were assessed on Quantitative Ability, Logical and Analytical Ability and Verbal Ability of the candidates. 

Step 4: Check IPM Aptitude Test result

Students can check their IPM Aptitude Test result on the official website of IIM Rohtak. Candidates can check their scorecard and download the same from the official website.

Step 5: WAT and PI

Students who clear the IPMAT written exam will be called for the further selection process which includes Written Ability Test and Personal Interview. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the WAT and PI rounds on the allotted date and venue.

The final Merit List will be generated based on the composite score as mentioned below:

Do I need to take coaching for clearing IPMAT?

Students who are willing to appear for IPMAT, coaching will provide them a higher rate of success. As a result, opting for offline or online coaching for IPMAT, enhances your chances of performing better. It, ultimately, makes you ready for the exam in a specific way. Solving previous years question papers and appearing for mock tests are also an effective way of preparation.
