South Korea as a Study Abroad Destination

If you intend to attend university in South Korea, you should be aware that the country's universities operate on a two-semester system, like those in most other nations. The majority of universities start their academic years in March, however some also start in September (applications are typically received between September and November) (these applications are usually accepted between May and June).

Candidates must have completed 10+2, or 12 years of school (primary and secondary), in order to enrol in undergraduate programmes in South Korea. In order to apply for master's and PhD programmes, you must have a bachelor's degree.

Language Proficiency Tests: For programmes taught in Korean in South Korea, you must take the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) and submit your results together with your application. If you are applying for English-taught courses, you must present TOEFL scores.

You will also need to submit your CV, Statement of Purpose (SOP), and Letters of Recommendation (LORs).
